Entering Korea
A main airport of Korea is Incheon International Airport(ICN, RKSI). International flights from almost other contries to Korea usually arrive at Incheon airport. You can be also admitted to Korea by using Incheon airport.
If you live in East Asia or South East Asia, then Busan-Gimhae International Airport(PUS, RKPK) can be available. Busan-Gimhae airport is located in Busan and the nearest airport from Haeundae which is venue of SQM 2022. Using Busan-Gimhae airport is more faster than Incheon airport to arrive at destination. For reference DON’T take pictures or videos in the airport because Gimhae airport is military fortification.
Entering Busan (from Incheon Airport)
After arriving at Incheon airport, there are many ways you can choose.
By Airplane
- Your flight carrier(or travel agency) may arrange a transfer flight of ICN-PUS flight or GMP-PUS afterward flight of entering Korea.
- If your carrier(or agency) doesn’t, you have to take flight from Gimpo Interntional Airport.
- If you take flight from GMP(Gimpo International Airport), you should change the airport yourself.
- with AREX(Airport Express Railload, KRW 3,750. ~1h.)
- with Inter-airport limousine busline(KRW 5,000. ~50 min.)
- with taxi(~KRW 42,000, ~40m.)
- If you take flight of ICN-PUS, YOU MUSTN’T IMMIGRATE AT ICN!
- You must immigrate at PUS, after flight of ICN-PUS.
- Note: That flight is international flight even that is between same country’s airports!
- Cost(Flight only): USD 70 - USD 90 with FCC(Korean Air, Asiana Air), USD 50 - USD 90 with LCC(Air Busan, Air Seoul, Tway Air, Jin Air etc.)
- Time: ~55min. after taking-off GMP. In general, 3 hours after leaving ICN including 1 hours to transfer airport.

By Train
- You can take KTX(Korea Train eXpress) to Busan Station from Seoul Station or Gwangmyeong Station.
- You can buy ticket on site or reserve on website.
- Case1: Seoul Station
- Take AREX Express Train to Seoul Station. (non-stop and reserved seat train. ~51min. KRW 9,500)
- Cost(KTX only): ~ KRW 59,800 (Economy Class), ~ KRW 83,700 (First Class)
- Time(KTX only): 2h. 15min. - 3h. 18min. (depending on route and stops)
- Case2: Gwangmyeong Station
- Take Bus No 6770 and get off at Gwangmyeong Station. (~50min. KRW 15,000)
- Cost(KTX only): ~ KRW 57,700 (Economy Class), ~ KRW 80,800 (First Class)
- Time(KTX only): 2h. 03min. - 2h. 52min. (depending on route and stops)
Be careful to avoid ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.

By Express bus
- You can take limousine bus from Incheon Airport to Busan directly.
- It has direction to West Bus Terminal(Sasang;사상), Central Bus Terminal(Nopo;노포) or Haeundae Bus Terminal.
- Cost: ~ KRW 50,600
- Time: 5h. 30min. (depending on traffic)

- Transfer to Metro Line No2 to Jangsan장산 (~45min.)
- Get off at Haeundae해운대.
- Exit to Exit No 3
- Go straight, direction to beach. You can see “Paradise Hotel” when you’re right in front of the beach.
- You can find the last-mile map.
- Cost: KRW 3,000 (KRW 2,000, if you have transportation card)
- If you don’t have card, you should buy ticket 2 times.
- One at Airport(Airport공항 to Sasang사상) (KRW 1,400)
- One at Sasang(Sasang사상 to Haeundae해운대). (KRW 1,600)
- Time: ~1h 20min. (incl. walking)
- Bus
- Take Bus No 7002 at bus stop No2 and get off at Haeundae Beach해운대 해수욕장.
- You can see “Paradise Hotel” in direction of the bus you’ve gotten off.
- You can find the last-mile map.
- Cost: KRW 8,500
- Time: ~ 50 min.
- Taxi
- Just take taxi in front of gate of arrival floor.
- Cost: ~ KRW 30,000 (Not black.), ~ KRW 45,000 (Black)
- Time: ~ 40min.
From Busan Station
- Metro
- Take Metro Line No1 to Nopo노포 (~11min.)
- Transfer to Metro Line No2 at Seomyeon서면 to Jangsan장산. (~30min.)
- Get off at Haeundae해운대. Exit to Exit No 3
- Go straight, direction to beach. You can see “Paradise Hotel” when you’re right in front of the beach.
- You can find the last-mile map.
- Cost: KRW 1,600 (KRW 1,500, if you have transportation card.)
- Time: ~ 1h 05min. (incl. walking)
- Bus
- Take Bus No 1003 at bus stop (near side of Busan Station. When getting out to exit No2,3,4)
- Get off at Haeundae Hot Spring Intersection해운대온천사거리, Haeundae Oncheon Sageori
- Walk into direction to beach. You can see “Paradise Hotel” at the first crosswalk.
- You can find the last-mile map.
- Cost: KRW 1,800 (KRW 1,700, if you have transportation card.)
- Taxi
- Cost: ~ KRW 21,000
- Time: ~ 40min.
From West Bus Terminal (Sasang사상)
- Metro
- Take metro to Metro Line No2 to Jangsan장산 (~45min.)
- Get off at Haeundae해운대.
- Exit to Exit No 3.
- Go straight, direction to beach. You can see “Paradise Hotel” when you’re right in front of the beach.
- You can find the last-mile map.

From Central Bus Terminal (Nopo노포)

- Transfer to Metro Line No3 to Suyeong수영 at Yeonsan연산 (~9min.)
- Transfer to Metro Line No2 to Jangsan장산 at Suyeong수영 (~10min.)
- Get off at Haeundae해운대.
- Exit to Exit No 3

Transportation Card (T-Money, Cash-bee)
The T-Money and Cash-bee are most popular transportation card service in Republic of Korea.
- You can use same transportation card for almost all local bus and metro in Republic of Korea
- You can pay almost all convenience stores. (GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, Ministop, E-mart24 etc.)

Where, When to buy
If you will enter to Busan into Busan-Gimhae International Airport, we recommend you buying ASAP right after entering Korea, because you may use that when transfering from Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit to Busan Metro Line No2.
It will be sold at convenience store at transit center of Incheon International Airport, arrival floor of Busan-Gimhae International Airport.
Don’t worry if you lost chance to buy transportation card. Just go to closest convenience store, and buy one.
Using Samsung Pay
Republic of Korea is home country of Samsung and Samsung Pay, but, unfortunately, you may not use Samsung Pay in Republic of Korea. (And also the Apple Pay is not supported.) The mobile phone selling in Republic of Korea is fully supported to use Samsung Pay in Republic of Korea. But, the mobile sold in outside of Republic of Korea may not support due to absence of MSTMagnetic Secure Transmission module in the device. (Because, the Samsung Pay in Korea is based on MST, but the worldwide(rather than Republic of Korea), that is NFC; similar with Visa-Paywave, MasterCard-Paypass etc.)
Please be careful and do prepare plan to pay with other than Samsung Pay and Apple Pay.
